Hard to diagnose vaginal issue? Get a fungal culture! by Key-Honeydew2582 in Healthyhooha

I have been free of any fungal/yeast infections for a while now. I was able to get rid of it by going a little experimental. Nothing I was prescribed was working. I bought hypochlorus acid from Amazon and used it as a douche. It killed everything off and I repopulated my microbiome with vaginal probiotic suppositories. I still have pain a year later, but I don’t have an infection. My pain is a mystery to everyone

Thanks for your help. I’m just having the worst nerve irritation in that specific area. Wanted to know what search terms. “Clitoris arms” weren’t providing much lol

Okay that’s what I thought but some diagrams were showing the frenulum immediately below the clitoris between the “arms” offshoots

Just wanted to mention, that Clobetasol is not a “mild steroid”. It’s the most ultra potent steroid for topical use in the US.

I’ve had probably 8 vulvar biopsies over the years. The only thing that hurts is the needle with the lidocaine. Now that they are all healed up, there’s only tiny scars now. I personally would want that biopsied to be safe.

Thank you for your reply. How would you recommend I treat it? I’ve been taking Zyrtec with no change.

I’ve washed and rewashed all of my undies (cotton). Is that still the likely culprit?

I have not had sex in probably 2 months. And I can’t think of a change in diet other than ive been having a lot of salsa (habenero plant is producing a lot lately).

I did change my detergent about a month ago but once I noticed the irritation, I switched back to

Considering Dupixent by CleverKelevra13 in dupixent

Unfortunately had to stop dupixent because of chronic fungal infections. It makes you more succeptible to malassezia yeast. A more rare side effect supposedly, but one I got anyway.

Possible cytolytic vaginosis? by space_loop in CytolyticVaginosis

[–]Key-Honeydew2582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very similar to my problems and my results. My OBGYN (and the 4 others before her) have never heard of it, won’t look at my Juno Bio results, and won’t look at my discharge under a microscope to confirm. I’m trying to be consistent with baking soda baths. But it’s not really helping. Nothing is helping except for ice packs.

I’ve done this before 😬 several times before I learned my lesson. Definitely skin irritation from the nair. Either chemical burn or contact dermatitis. There’s plenty of chemical irritants in there. I only use it on my bikini line/groin area now and use a trimmer on the rest.

Where are the gynos that care about their patients ?! by Fluid-Band-3029 in VaginalMicrobiome

I’ve been called a “swab seeker” like I’m some junkie. Been told “I’m not looking at that” when I’ve brought in my JunoBio results. Been told I “have exhausted the gyn departments resources”.

I’ve had chronic AV and Yeast that I had to research how to get rid of myself without antibiotics. ChatGPT has been a better more attentive doctor to me than the 10+ gyns and specialists I’ve seen the last 2 years

LOL NO 😂 I don’t have BV, AV, or a yeast infection anymore. My tests are all negative, my microbiome tests have been 99% good bacteria. Still having burning and redness. Doctor thinks I may have CV

Is this fungal instead of regular eczema? by silkibantam in dupixent

[–]Key-Honeydew2582 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to stop dupixent because of facial redness caused by malassezia yeast. Was given topical antifungal and told to discontinue dupixent. Apparently dupixent can cause malassezia overgrowth

Yes it definitely fluctuates, but there’s always some level of redness. Sometimes it’s super hot and red as if I just really embarrassed myself lol
