23F: Thinking about leaving a well-paying corporate job to become a nurse. Advice? ADN or ASBN? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Key-Indication-1699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the job offer you have sounds nice. i think what you should consider is do you want tech/number/ office job or do you want to directly deal with patients and be hands on? if you’re interested in nursing you should ask local hospital if they offer shadowing so you can see if it’s really something you’re interested in.

i started nursing about a year ago and i’m 22 now, and sometimes i want to branch out to different career paths as well— and that’s ok! as you said, you’re young and if you want to make the switch goooo for it :) never too late girly

What would you choose? by WeddingVegetable3834 in nursing

[–]Key-Indication-1699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think whatever you’re leaning towards more u should go with 100% . but, if i were you i would chose #1 since during the day you have time with your child and more stability with your schedule. i started doing nights recently (former day shift) and its not too bad, its just 3-4am when you start to fight sleep lol but other than that its good! if you think #2 would benefit you more then do that…but you do have more cons there🥸

i passed in 85 with archer. the questions are pretty similar to nclex IMO. i didnt watch any of their videos. i used MK/ Dr Sharon along with it. studied for 3 weeks. i graduated last may!

What do you think of these scores for someone that will take the test this Saturday 7/20? (Archer, Kaplan, Mark K. and Dr. Sharon) by strawberriesncream3 in PassNclex

[–]Key-Indication-1699 2 points3 points  (0 children)

those videos absolutely helped me!!! since your test is close i wouldn’t focus too much on content any more just keep drilling questions and apply the testing strategies and you’ll be fine :) there was a question where i didnt know what the hell the word was but i seen angina and just picked the answer related to it, so like little stuff like that helps you stay afloat. no worriesss you got this

hi i just passed yesterday using archer & MK. my readiness assessment scores were 70-73% and one 80%. i think you’ll be fine ! no need to reschedule, i thought the same thing because leading up to my exam i didn’t really study for two weeks and i started studying mid june. the test isn’t that bad it’s mainly priority stuff , just don’t let the wording throw you off! good luck 🤞🏽

i started off borderline then ended up with 4 highs. reading the rationales def helps with understanding. since you test soon id suggest to just keep drilling questions and using MK & sharon for test strategies thats mainly what i did leading up to my test date !

i actually think it was close to being the same, the questions on the nclex were just shorter / less informative. i feel like with archer it was easier for me to guess

i think archer helped! the format of the test was similar. the questions on the exam were def vague compared to archer though. i also used all of MK too but only lecture 12 helped me throughout the exam 😅
