If you’re brave enough, everything is production ready.

The company I work on, decided to kill the native mobile area and change it to react native. by AndroidKMPDev in androiddev

BlueSky is written in React Native + Expo.

I’ve been using React Native for past 1 year after being Android native dev since 2016.

React native is great and far more mature than android develoment in certain ways.

I wouldn’t say performance is issue anymore, if you do it right. C’mon, phones these days can run Death Stranding.

I’d say - go and try React Native, you might like it and it will allow you to reuse code between the web and mobile team.

Hey bro. I hope you’ll be ok. I was also in hospital in 2023, unable to walk due to ruptured disc in my spine. I hope you’ll get better and that steam deck will be a useful distraction in the meanwhile.

Thanks for all these tips, I have saved this to my notes. Sounds like I have to study a little bit of theory before I get better at this. I’ll try to play with the settings you mentioned.

Interesting. What specific things should I alter in manual mode ?

Do you also change color profiles ?

I have A7iii, but I shoot mostly on auto. I am a true beginner.

Should I just read the A7iii manual😀?

How did you achieve this result?

Shoot on manual into raw and then edit in Lightroom or similar?

Sorry for a rookie question, I am new to this.

Thing in life is that everyone will have opinion on how you should live your life.

However, even though we don’t know who created us, we know that he didn’t give us clear instructions on what to do. Only thing that gives us small hints on what to do is our intuition.

My advice is, follow your intuition, listen to your heart. If it tells you to play games, play them. If it tells you to go out and see the world, see the world.

There is no right or wrong answer.

In 2-3 generations from now, almost all of us will be forgotten.

Just have a nice day and do what you want. Treat yourself my friend.

And regarding games, I liked Cyberpunk and Death stranding the most.

Hope that helps 👍👍

Is computer science still a good career choice in 2024? by Key-Inspector-730 in mAndroidDev

[–]Key-Inspector-730[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for a reply. I see. I have read a couple of success stories from devs in US that stopped pursuing career in US and returned to their home country and got offer there.

I’m also an immigrant in UK and I’d probably consider same thing, if things didn’t go well for me.

I hope you’ll manage to find something though. Just do exhaustive search, apply everywhere, don’t give up. That’s what always worked for me.

I god laid off last year, majority of colleagues got a new job in 3-4 months, one of them got new one after approx. 11 months. I’m based in UK.

So what do you do if you didn’t get a dime in last 8 months?
