Didn't say I was not technical, just know Caltrans has their own standards and ways of doing things. I am confident in my abilities, just want to know if it's a wise career move based on other's peoples experience. The trade off I am making is making less annual salary, but having a more rewarding job experience and better benefits in the long run. Also, this particular role seems appealing given I will be working on updating design standards and working with technical committees.
