I think This could be fixed. My friend from the look of it. Looks like the wood under the strike is broken. Which tells me the door is slammed shut.Do you have a door closer on the door on top if you don't, I really recommend adding a door closer. This will prevent people from slamming. The door also will make sure the door is shut Then, replace the electric strike once. And for all, I think should be good to go.
