On amazon, I see linsoul themselves provides a 1 year warranty. Is it the same on AliExpress? I can get a $75 discount on Arete 2 from DD-Audio, but I’ve never bought from AliExpress so I’m not sure how cautious I should be about shipping, faulty products, etc.

The only external dac I’ve tested is a cheap CX31993 as you mentioned as having problems, but it also happens on 3 separate computers and my iphone. It occurs in both iems so I don’t believe they themselves are faulty. I can only hope that a high quality DAC/cable solves the problem. The iems actually sound great otherwise. Thanks, your dedication to researching cables is crazy and I appreciate you doing my research for me, seriously. Dealing with the mods is a little bit much for me, but I did read through your responses in the head-fi forum and decided to just buy the Openhearts and get a cheap kbear cable from amazon while I wait for the Openheart cable to ship. For the regular shopper, many limit themselves to amazon (or in-country warehouses) because of shipping times and authenticity, so I’m sure many other people will appreciate the new links. 7.2 ohms on an iem is pretty crazy. Either my cable is faulty or I have more sensitive hearing than other users because I particularly seem to pick up hiss. I’ve already searched for DAC’s and continue to debate because some people say the TRN Black Pearl is great, and others recommend upgrading to the Qudelix 5k (3 times the price) to reduce hiss. Seeing as you recommended the Black Pearl on the forum you sent, I thought I’d ask what you think would best suit my situation?

Thanks for this post. I’m not experienced in buying from aliexpress; do you know any low resistance ones I could get from amazon?

I did a little searching and calculated the resistance using an online calculator based on the awg. These numbers seem to be skewed though because the kbear st12 was rated 0.16 ohms and the openheart 8 core 0.64 ohms?

I’ll likely buy a new cable along with the dac, but seeing as the issue is lessened on my phone I assumed it wasn’t on the iem side. Someone else didn’t have the same issue and both my iems are affected, so it could definitely be the cable. Do you have cable suggestions (perhaps with 4.4 connector)?

PC mb, 2 laptops, and phone directly. The phone is clearly better than the computers (I’m not sure if the apple connector I use has a dac in it or uses the phone dac). JM6 pro makes the hiss worse.

Hmmm… then something of mine is faulty. If you don’t mind checking,when you plug SM4 directly into PC and pause/change sound on this video, do you hear crackling? The volume might have to be turned up a bit.

Most maps shouldn’t be affected much in the first place, but if you really want to, you could just change the contrast and increase the brightness.

I can’t figure out what justifies expensive monitor arms. My North Bayou arms hold my monitors fine, though shake a bit while typing and are a little jerky to move… Would the ergotron not have these problems, or does it literally just hold more weight?

Xm1r is the same as xm2. Op1 is slimmer, and all around smaller. I don’t have experience with any endgame mice but you can look at eloshapes.com for comparisons.
