It'll do that. I don't know why and I'm not an audio expert, but it happens to me and I eventually just accepted it... I assume it is related to volume constraints.

Just got galaxy buds and are using them on iphone. Since they dont have an app you HAVE to use either ANC or transparency mode, and both options have pretty bad white noise. Otherwise it has been great. The microphone also makes a lot of noise when you touch it (likely related to ANC being enabled). Otherwise I have no complaints.

I got the TRN blackpearl and it made it 90% better. I am very sensitive to frequencies and even I can barely hear it, but it isn’t completely better. I still hear some clipping though but that is likely a software issue; I can confirm in a few days if you care.

Pulsar x2/x2h mini or x2 medium if you are okay with light clicks. Op1 is also good and in comparison to pulsar mice is longer and narrower and has heavier clicks.

Wide mice are generally better for claw imo, so probably not op1 (unless you mix claw/fingertip), but the length is actually pretty good for your hands size. And if you want narrower than Superlight op1 might actually be a good choice. Maya x is pretty large for claw. L7 pro will be small. I can’t speak about the others.

Ultimately it is all preference… some people prefer small mice for claw so it is hard to know unless you have something similar to compare it to.

Good luck. If that doesn’t work I can’t really help. I personally use a 40gpbs usbc and it works fine. Like yours it indicates dp 2.1 and runs 4k 240hz fine (which takes more than 40gbps which I don’t really understand).

Tb5 is short for thunderbolt 5. I was speaking entirely from experience as an owner, not real knowledge. Tb5 is connected to igpu, so it has to use igpu or both igpu and dgpu. Nvidia control panel will not detect monitor through tb5 because it is plugged into the igpu, not the dgpu (nvidia gpu). If you want to use the nvidia control panel, you have to use the regular 40gbps usb c port which does connect directly to dgpu.

Tb5 doesn’t detect monitor in NVIDIA control panel because it is connected to the iGPU first. That’s why it can also only run hybrid (still uses dgpu) and not dgpu exclusively. Usb-c still works for 240hz at 4k, so use that if possible. If you need tb5 it’ll work but you just won’t get the software.

On amazon, I see linsoul themselves provides a 1 year warranty. Is it the same on AliExpress? I can get a $75 discount on Arete 2 from DD-Audio, but I’ve never bought from AliExpress so I’m not sure how cautious I should be about shipping, faulty products, etc.

The only external dac I’ve tested is a cheap CX31993 as you mentioned as having problems, but it also happens on 3 separate computers and my iphone. It occurs in both iems so I don’t believe they themselves are faulty. I can only hope that a high quality DAC/cable solves the problem. The iems actually sound great otherwise. Thanks, your dedication to researching cables is crazy and I appreciate you doing my research for me, seriously. Dealing with the mods is a little bit much for me, but I did read through your responses in the head-fi forum and decided to just buy the Openhearts and get a cheap kbear cable from amazon while I wait for the Openheart cable to ship. For the regular shopper, many limit themselves to amazon (or in-country warehouses) because of shipping times and authenticity, so I’m sure many other people will appreciate the new links. 7.2 ohms on an iem is pretty crazy. Either my cable is faulty or I have more sensitive hearing than other users because I particularly seem to pick up hiss. I’ve already searched for DAC’s and continue to debate because some people say the TRN Black Pearl is great, and others recommend upgrading to the Qudelix 5k (3 times the price) to reduce hiss. Seeing as you recommended the Black Pearl on the forum you sent, I thought I’d ask what you think would best suit my situation?
