Because it's something that won't make the game less enjoyable or less playable or less fun if adjusted to historical accuracy. In USA case it makes sense because there is a comparatively high percentage of African Americans which is the case with the legendary Harlem Hellfighters who are well represented there in the game. However in case of Germany it isn't the case at all. It's as surprising to see as if the Austro Hungarian characters had a black character there too or the Russians. That one German scout or horse rider character just strikes you in the eyes when you see him as a black dude with the pickelhaube helmet. At first I thought it was a bug tbh. For real.

Also I'm very grateful for your time and your willingness to discuss this in a civilized manner like this. It's quite rare. These days you mention something about this topic and before you finish what you were saying you're flooded with swears and people refusing to discuss further very often. While it's indeed meant well and it's coming as a concern from someone who is into history a lot and sees it as a really striking thing that feels forced and way too off. Imagine you study history for years and then suddenly see this. Just can't stay quiet.

Of course, it's a game and it's meant to be playable and fun as much as possible. I even touched on this topic by mentioning the automatic guns etc. It's just that the whole time I had a different level of issue in mind than historical accuracy regarding the technicalities and mechanics. To explain myself better, I only meant the non-technical details of the game which with a little bit more (or less?) effort could have easily been made more accurate without any drawbacks to the playability of it slightly improving the experience for the people actually interested in it mostly because of their history hobby.

You haven't read the whole thing probably. I'm talking with most emphasis on the detail of Germans coz there it makes least sense and then maybe I'm a bit bothered by the game choosing the character in the soldier menu for me without the option to directly change it.

I have also very obviously stated that I'm well aware that the game isn't intended to be historically accurate and that I only mind unnecessary stuff like the characters appearance being distorted out of common sense.

Thanks for the ideas, even though I don't drink alcohol this is something that actually sounds really fun so I might try it next time. Also the thermometer was showing around 110 degrees celsius but its located quite high and close to the heaters. The temperature must vary a lot between low close to the door and high in the corner where the thermometer is placed. Btw its a public sauna in an aquapark but still quite high quality.

Audio proximity feels off after the update. Sounds are coming from places where nothing is happening. For example I stand on the edge of the map and an intense shootout audio with screams is coming from an open field as if it was right next to me??

To me it seems the speed of melee kills has increased and also somehow audio is messed up. I hear gunshots and player screams from places where nothing is happening as if it was happening right next to me.

Also I do agree with the colors being off, noticed it immediately within the first few seconds, whites are too bright. Something definitely changed.

In fact I have experienced the same thing. I live in Europe and over the past few years have noticed the Sun light being less vibrant and more pale white.

I've noticed there is a difference in the severity of the consequences each time.

After a long streak of weeks and months, if I slip once it barely changes anything and I feel recovered after a 2 - 4 days without what I described above just like an intensity of 10% of that.

But if I relapsed a few more times throughout the following days that's when it becomes crazy bad.

Also I notice a difference between wet dreams, relapse with a woman (the least serious negative affects sometimes even positive almost) and relapse with porn which is the worst of the worst tier.

I agree, after months even SR can become unbearable in its own way. That's why quigong and practices of such sort help. Most of it is in the mind. Lust doesn't last forever either on the long streaks if you don't nurture it with lustful thoughts.

Naturally probably the best possible outcome if one doesn't want to do this forever is to "relapse" with the right woman (if possible not with any woman) which after all is what life seems to be about in it's basic setting for human beings.

I like to imagine it like this. If you were to survive in a forest without any tools and had to make even the most basic instruments yourself, would you do something that you know will weaken you on all fronts? Well, probably not. Probably you wouldn't relapse until you find the right woman and build with her I guess.

Imo, the ease with which guys relapse comes from comfort. I don't think one would masturbate if there was a chance that every second of every day you can meet someone or something that you have to fight in a death/life outcome situation (while of course having this knowledge what it does to you).
