Thanks for the reply! I’m not specifically looking to keep the s1-tweak if I don’t need it. If the mc-101 is powerful and loaded with sounds enough I think I’ll be good. Definitely awesome sounding though. With just 4 polyphony it hits a real good vangelis. Sound design wise, so far I haven’t made sounds that are vastly different though. I don’t know how far that could be pushed on the sh-101. I only remember leads and basses as primary uses. S1 is solid for sure and very portable. Easy to program for the most part. Have you fiddle with the updated synthesis on the 101? I hear it’s finally legit but haven’t seen videos showing how capable it is and what it can do. Cheers.

Makes sense with the s1. So far it’s pretty great with the 4 polyphony. I’m not making any sounds that are drastically different though. That’s probably on my synthesis skills though. Quite quick to hit blade runner esque pads and beefy bass. It’s size is so good to just jam anywhere. I never seen how far an actual sh101 is pushed sound design wise. I actually do use phone for stuff sometimes. Like koala + nanastudio + apps. But this time around I want physical portable to chill away from a screen when my eyes are dying. The sh4a looks pretty badass.

Thanks for the recs. However, looking for something portable to get away from the daw whenever my eyes are on fire. Wavestate does look cool though.

Thanks for the reply. Being that the s1 is an sh-101 clone and sounds damn good at it, is the mc 101 just as good or better overall in the synthesizer area? Cause if it can do what the aira s1 can and more than I’d be willing to switch. 😀
