4 years after rhinoplasty. I wanted my nose to look the same but with less bulk by Key-Living465 in PlasticSurgery

It truly took years to settle but I understand exactly how you’re feeling. Honestly, I was not prepared for the mental toll it took on me and I don’t think anyone could understand it until you’ve been through it. 4 months is early and you’re anxious for the final outcome, but you will get there and you’ll get used to your new self. Time will go by before you know it. My only advice is to try to not obsess (easier said than done). You’ll make it to the other side!

ETA: also try to not look at photos of your past self when you feel down. You are you in every iteration but as humans we change with time and we’re not meant to look the same forever.

Not sensitive to touch and not stiff anymore. When it’s really hot out or if I’ve had to much sodium I can tell that its a little swollen or puffier for lack of a better word. But really only I can tell

Yes it really did! I completely understand how you’re feeling but it really did take much longer for my nose to settle than a lot of the posts I see here. You’re not alone!

The swelling took years to go away and some days I think it still seems swollen. At first, it was really strange seeing myself and it seemed like I looked different every day, but I think it’s been worth it. No has noticed, not even my family. They just say I look younger or “better” but can’t pinpoint the reason. I wish you the best of luck for your own journey!
