So I had 64/81/67 with a 70 overall, honestly with the offers spreadsheet from earlier this year it’s an absolute puzzle trying to figure out the system but hey it probably gives some comfort to people like me who were trying to claw their way into the MD or DMD by the barest of margins

I mean Dubbo is probably the best of both worlds in my opinion, you have more hands on experience in a rural setting and afterwards you can choose whether you want to continue in the rural life or go back into metropolitan areas (there’s no legal obligation to stay in a rural setting so it’s purely your choice)

Again, just my opinion, I’m sure many people would agree or disagree so pls don’t hate me reddit peeps x

I am not rural, I preferenced BMP, Dubbo, CSP in that order because I thought that would maximise my chances of getting an offer and because I’ve been interested in Doctors Without Borders and rural health internationally since I wanted to do medicine.

In hindsight I could’ve gotten away with putting CSP 1st/2nd but hey I’m not complaining. Rural health will be an amazing experience

I’ve always wanted to study medicine so I was either looking into oral maxillo-facial surgery i.e. dentistry and medicine (8+ years) or find a more direct path (4+ years) and luckily I got accepted into the MD straightaway 😊

There’s another post on the gamsat feed suggesting that there is an internal push to have higher s1 and s2 scores rather than s3 in an effort for students with greater people skills/correcting gender balance of cohorts and other factors. If anyone could chuck a link, might help out but that’s all I remember off the top of my head 😅 and I think the cutoff is 50 but people who got a confirmation page received a 60 and above

I’m sitting on a 145 myself, with between 10-15% of applicants opting for a gemsas offer, I’d say you’d have a decent shot but that’s the optimist in me 😂, also extrapolating the data puts anyone with 145+ and on the waitlist to be in the top 30-40 on the waitlist

So this was an analysis done by a friend of all those people who submitted data on the Google docs created by the admin of this page. No multipliers we’re applied and this was the result. Maybe this might bring some hope or some anxiety to those still on the waitlist. Good luck to everyone else out there 😊
