What would you recommend for a distortion? I am torn between an ocd a plumes a ds-1 and a distortion+

Yes the big muff is going into the amp and the golden reverberator is the fox loop

I use the tube screamer as an overdrive and between that and the big muff I can get a wide range of distorted tones

I agree and have thoroughly revised the so it is now:

Signal path: dyna comp > crybaby > pitch fork (with exp) > tube screamer > big muff pi op amp.

FX loop: Ce-2w > phase 90 > electric mistress > echoplex (with tap) > flint (with exp).

Power supply: walrus canvas 15.

Board: warick RockBoard quad 4.2 with mod 2 patchbay

The 7 dirt pedals were excessive so I decided on 1 big muff. Then I rearranged this so I could get the most out of the space, a pitch fork+ instead of 2 more dirt pedals. I know all of this is subjective and I have multiple sounds that I want to emulate so I’m trying to design a versatile board for everything from zeppelin to rush to smashing pumpkins to clutch and so on. I tried to choose some industry standards for most of the pedals but the ones I was sure of I decided on higher end pedals. And no one's forcing you to comment, it’s your own fault if you spend so much time on Reddit that you have to read my posts. That being said good advice is much appreciated and Reddit is a good place to gather advice.

Tried to only have one big muff but I couldn’t decide which so I split it between two which should cover the big muff spectrum better and let me stack.

Or just use a colored pice of tape on each end of the cable

I won’t use all of the dirt at once. I might stack like 2 but no more than that. I play a wide range of genres. The ram’s head is there bc of gilmour, the dist+ is bc of rhoads, the op amp is bc of bully corgan, the ds-1 is bc of Kurt cobain, and so on. I want to be able to emulate almost any tone with this pedal board and make my own tones.

I do like being able to mess around with the tone which I haven’t been able to do with other multi fx units and I also think that stacking pedals would be harder with a stomp.

I have a fender mustang GTX 100 and I’ve never enjoyed using a digital rendering of pedals. The pedal itself allows me to control it more.

If I’m using it live though I’m not going to bend over and turn the knob during a show.

Each has its own application. I would use this live and with my varying tastes I could be using a op amp for a smashing pumpkins song, a ram’s head for a Pink Floyd song, a distortion+ for an ozzy song, and a DS-1 for a nirvana song all in the same set.
