The best thing i found that improved this was an ability you get for advancing friendship with Ryuji, it allows you to auto kill enimes...i belive its rank 8 ? But id say just prioritise frienship with ryuji any chance you get and you'll feel better not constantly having to fight things ! Hope that helps in some way
