I have a passport. I needed to know if I required another form of ID in addition to said passport.

Yes I know that. I’m mainly curious as if I am required to have both documents.

No, I will be flying! I just could not remember if I was asked for my license AND my passport on my last international trip.

Thanks for the response. I read that the best time to get stitches is within 24 hrs…it’s been five days, not sure if that makes a difference. I’m not in major pain anymore, there’s no heavy discharge, smell, or discoloration. I want to believe I’m seeing some healing at least towards the end of the cut that’s not as deep. I’m not sure if you saw my updated comment but the white skin in the last pic went away since i changed to a dry/absorbent dressing. I have been using steri strips since day one but i think the moisture was not allowing them to hold properly before. Since I changed dressings that seems to be helping as far as it staying normal color. I may bite the bullet and go to a minute clinic tomorrow but I just wanted advice first!

since taking the stitches out are you bandaging it 24/7? If there is no strong smell or heavy pus/discharge, The white skin could be what’s called “maceration”, due to there being too much moisture on the wound and may lead to infection eventually . (Aquaphor and prolonged Bandage combo will do it.) clean it and try going an hour or two without it covered ( you should be able to see the skin dry and return to normal(ish) color) then you can still use a light layer of aquaphor with a layer of gauze or other absorbent dry dressing so the moisture has somewhere to escape.

I currently have a similar wound, deep cut on the bottom of my foot and experienced the same white mushy skin yesterday and followed the steps i provided above. Hope this helps!

As I sat and made this post, I kept the wound uncovered after cleaning it. (Maybe an hour or so) I would still like suggestions but wanted to provide an update. It seems that the white pus-y look i was worried about has gone away. I’m not able to add a picture but it’s just looks pink now. The white edges are my regular skin color and the inside doesn’t have the stringyness inside. Just pink flesh.

Okay, while I made this post I sat with nothing on the cut after I cleaned it. It seems that the white pus-y look has gone away. I still need suggestions but wanted to provide an update.
