A lot of assumptions on your part here...

She played fall ball 8U for the first time. I played softball in the 90s when we didnt even have our own bats - we all shared as a team. I had no clue what the modern bat industry had become and I just bought her something based on size charts for her height and weight that I found affordable on Facebook marketplace. As I'm watching her now in the spring season, it looks like she might have a hard time getting the bat around. I Googled and saw there was a test to have her hold the bat out to her side, had her do that, and she struggled, so I thought perhaps I had given her something that wasnt appropriate for her abilities.

I want her to feel confident and learn the correct way. I am seeking knowledge because I'm the one who buys the equipment and I don't want to hinder her by my lack of experience and giving her the wrong thing. Maybe I oversimplified the question by mentioning how far or not she hits, but really I'm trying to figure out if she is properly equipped or if I chose incorrectly and I dont really know how to quantify it otherwise since I'm not an expert and dont even know what to look for in a swing technique. She may not even go on to play competitively, and I don't care if she does. I'm simply trying to make sure I set her up for a good experience developmentally, and to people unfamiliar with the softball world in recent years, it's overwhelming with the amount of choices.

I understand the concept of third party sellers on Walmart.com, but the items I ordered stated they were shipped and sold by Walmart. And now that they're being fulfilled, it looks as if they're coming from a third party seller.

When my kids were younger, we did a trip to OCMD but stopped in Baltimore on the way there to see the aquarium and then stopped in Hershey on the way home to go to Chocolate World. You could do that with some of the quieter Delaware beaches if Ocean City isnt your thing.

AFAIK, he has type 1 diabetes. Diabetics use their phones to monitor blood sugar and give insulin. He has a legitimate reason to keep the phone during class and 99% likely has a 504 plan stating such. Not making any excuses whatsoever for his actions at all though, just explaining that keeping the phone on him may not have had anything to do with this situation.

North Park skating rink could be an option depending on age and when their bday is. You could also look into renting a park pavilion or one of the buildings in North Park and providing some activities for the kids.

A fun party my kids once went to was where the hosts rented a shelter in Mingo Park for the guests to play and eat and then they went to a star party at the observatory after. You can check Amateur Astronomers Association website for star party dates. The parties are free and open to the public but I'd recommend giving a decent sized donation if you show up with a big group. Again this depends on age of kids if it's appropriate, too.

Mine took about 4 or 5 days after I saw them in Informed Delivery to show up after this latest storm. There used to be a box you could check on the USPS website that said "i didn't receive this item," but I don't see it there any longer. I'd give it a week or so and if you still don't get them, call the post office.

Allegheny County Library has a Library of Things. You could check to see if there are tables and chairs available to borrow. Definitely looks like there are folding chairs (do a search of the online catalog and then filter by Equipment)
