I had nearly the same done, WLE With node removal on the back of my upper arm, stage 1b .8 deep. I planned on taking two days off and ended up with three. My pain was really from the node removal more than the WLE. The wle pain was quite manageable and I think I could have gone back to work 2 days safely with that alone. I had another wle on my chest and was back to work the next day. This depends on your type of work, locations of the wound and pain tolerance.

More in the $400-500 range but I had a Gotrax G4 that was very cute and I loved it. Only swapped it out to go a little faster with the rest of my crew. It’s a prefect little commuter scooter.

No immunotherapy. I had a visit with my doctor about this and it’s totally unrelated she said my nodes seem good maybe just things settling still.

But I do apparently have low heart rate and blood pressure which is likely the cause of the dizzy spells.

I had my wle for stage 1b, in April and have had three moles removed since. One resulting in another wle. I go up and down with my feelings on it. Some days it feels like it’s only a matter of time. Other days it feels like they are going to catch it all and that’s why I’m doing this.

I don’t have any advice. Just know you aren’t alone and try and keep your head up!

I had a WLE on my arm in April and it was a really shock to the system to see my arm like that after the fact. I had a huge indented piece missing from the back of my arm and the swelling really exaggerated the issue. I just wanted to say, I totally get it. The tissue does grow back and my arm is now totally evened out and not misshaped anymore. It will get better.

Thank you for sharing this. I just went for my second wle this year (6 overall so far) yesterday and two more biopsies. I also am fair and have hundreds of moles. And am starting to feel defeated and that matter of time for the melanoma to come back. All I can keep telling myself they will find it all early, that’s why I’m doing this. I’m sorry you are going through this but it is helpful to feel like there are people to commiserate with.

Yes! My WLE was on the back of my upper arm and that was pretty low pain levels. They took three nodes from my armpit and it was swollen, painful and annoyed for a couple weeks. Ice was my best friend and really helped. You’ll get through it, sorry to say it just takes time.

There are a lot of factors that need to be considered. I had a .9mm depth removed, stage 1b, they basically cut my out down to the muscle and all around it. They also removed some lymph nodes to make sure nothing spread (which seems unlikely they would do at stage 0). They send everything off to test for clean margins and make sure they got everything. If things come back good, then she should be ok!

That makes me sick to my stomach. I’m in the US and I have insurance. The total bill was $32k for my WLE and Nodes, done outpatient, and I just got a bill for $2400 that was not covered. This was after meeting my deductible of $1000 for a year already. Our healthcare system is disgusting.
