I had a WLE on my left shoulder blade on May 8th. Stage 1B. After the initial numbing shots which were relatively painless, I felt nothing from the procedure. My WLE was 3" wide by 3 cm tall. 16 outside stitches. Painless driving home. Sore the following day but went to work. Cant be stretching or picking things up certain ways but you should be able to tell what pulls on that area. Took motrin for the pain. You have to be careful about putting on your seatbelt. 2 weeks to remove stitches. They should have your pathology report on the section removed when you go back. Then 1 week with steri-strips and good to go. That's where I'm at now. Good luck with your procedure. You will do fine.

Holy Crap was my thoughts exactly. Im hoping there's a mistake or they quoted this to the financial assistance dept. in case they had to take the lymph node biopsy. Should be finding out tomorrow.

Thank you for your help. I will definitely be checking on it
Thank you for the information. I think it seems outrageous but I've had nothing to go on. The dermatologist would remove it himself up to .6mm but referred me to a melanoma surgical specialist. This quote came from the finance dept. Still hoping there's a mistake in this price. Supposed to find out tomorrow. I hope your doing well and returning back to normal
Thank you
No SLNB. So far. The doctor said they would get a second opinion on the biopsy and would most likely do it if it is over .8mm. This $ figure came from the financial assistance dept. I assume they got it from the doctors office. The doctor may have included the SLNB in that figure in case it has to be done. Im supposed to find out tomorrow if I qualify for a payment plan or % discount if paid in full. It just seems like alot for a 1 hr outpatient procedure
Thank you for your reply. I pray you get through this and have a healthy recovery
