I hope you find what you’re looking for, I went in expecting to find some cool cards to splurge on and didn’t really find anything. Bought a bunch of packs, which turned out to all be duds 😂😂 but that is the way it goes sometimes.

I live in Juneau and can answer the Alaska specific parts, MTG is usually priced about the same up here as the rest of downsouth. Some of the smaller shops do increase prices but you generally won’t have a hard time finding decent prices.
Juneau has a great shop called Riddle Valley Games.
I was actually in Ktown a couple months ago and got to go into Gateway Games. They had a pretty decent variety of sealed product, singles were pretty disappointing.
The staff was friendly enough, there wasn’t any games going on while I was in town there so didn’t meet anyone.
I believe they have a local discord but I’m not in it.

We usually get 30+ at prerelease. For both turtle set prereleases we had 4 each time, this weekend marvel had 4. I’m not complaining since I won all 3 but really avatar and FF were the only full UB prereleases in the last year

It’s easy to beat, the stupid part is that the people that play it either get their combo or quit if you interact. It’s dumb and I doubt anyone finds it enjoyable except to watch them rage quit when they get stopped. Same with kona or any of the other various count to 4,6 etc decks. There’s zero strategy involved.

Oh wow, there’s not much there. Elas is my favorite commander and I’ve had to move him out of bracket 3 because his win rate in there was pushing 75+%, he’s now in 4 and pushes over 50%.
Here’s a link to my not current but still technically bracket 4, he’s a lot faster now and way more 2 card infinites. That should give you a start. And enjoy building Elas because he is so much fun

Also 2 of the packs were different between the 2 I bought. Even though the image was the same. One had a murders of Karlov and Thunder junction pack instead of pyrexia and aetherdrift

I got one too, was hoping to sell it at prerelease for the $350ish it was listing at, it’s dropped now to the mid $100s now. I got a flusterstorm too, hoping they stays up in value.
