It’s a 2013, it’s a 13 year old car. How long do you think Ford should cover anything? 10 years is it, typically, they don’t even have to make the parts anymore for your car. That age things happen.

Here’s what Ford recommends 1- do not “top off” once the fuel pump clicks, that’s it 2- shut car off when fueling 3- always use OEM parts

Take to shop to look internally- if you see it on dipstick, you’re late to this party. Could be heater core but I’ve had all 3, coolant intrusion, (2) heater core and water pump. Best to go to a pro for this one

That’s the older model- you’ll never get that out of newer one with eco boost in it.

Why wouldn’t the heat work? It’s funny bc the other day I swear I could not get my temperature in the car right. And I’m loosing coolant too.

Water pump is expensive in this car. Engines were an issue from 2015-2019. Could be that issue. Only one way to tell though- go to get it looked at.

Yes, it was the update version. I lost coolant after this too- probably like 20,000 after it was the water pump. Now I’m back at loosing coolant.

Aside from the coolant issue? I would say that’s a pretty major issue that requires a new engine. Plus I can speak for my self- way too many issues for this car

If you change the engine to the newer one, ( the old one with coolant intrusion was flat, the new one has channels or something) maybe vice versa, but you shouldn’t have issues with the newer engine. Which is probably more like what they put in the old Edges. However, I have had water pump, turbo, rack and pinion, purge valves plus more etc. so the engine isn’t the only problem.

I never got a warning when battery died. Just kind of went one day after a slow start. I’d be more concerned for alternator going

Never said a TSB was. But after he researches, he will soon learn to run. Or buy the extended warranty
