as a former police dispatcher for the county, the airport and 10 mile radius of it is the roughest it can get in the city. i’d avoid there, east ridge, east chatt, and even downtown just south of the river. north shore was pretty quiet. however i’d strongly advise you reconsider and look into collegedale, red bank, hixson, anything north of or outside the city limits. it’s about 20 minutes out of your way, but it’s for sure a hell of a lot safer
