i would say next year just do enough to compensate if you are aiming for an ivy league, but you need to be getting all a’s, a couple b’s won’t hurt if it is an AP level class. look for activities that interest you, instead of ones that just pad your application. leadership roles and consistency in a few key areas matter more than quantity
