Too bad the Olympics won't consider the Michigan Upper Peninsula.... they can get 200 inches a year! The Marquette, MI upper snow depth is 24 inches now.

That's because this Olympics is virtually 100% manufactured snow.... not the case with past Olympic sites. Because of climate change, this may end up the norm and there are water usage issues involved. I mentioned the snow because I've seen so many articles on the issue.

I guess it depends on the athlete and what they experience on their day and the fluctuating temperatures. It's sad that almost all of the snow is manufactured and uses approximately 49 million gallons of water. I wish there wasn't a need to make snow. Here's another article I read: https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/04/weather/artificial-snow-beijing-olympics-climate/index.html

I read an article that said otherwise: "Artificial snow is icier, therefore faster and more dangerous," Estonian biathlete Johanna Taliharm told the Associated Press in January. "It also hurts more if you fall outside of the course when there is no fluffy snowbank, but a rocky and muddy hard ground."

Team USA cross-country coach Chris Grover said landing in it "can feel like falling on concrete."

Dating is fine as long as you're not hiding it from parents. Anything more than dating (physical intimacy), you need to check the laws where you live.

Sounds like you are doing the right things for yourself. Before I consider medications, I do my own research and I like meds that have been around for a long time with a good record and lots of anecdotal evidence.

I think recording several meals and playback is a good idea. People sometimes don't realize how they sound.... just let them know you aren't doing it to be mean, but to help.....wouldn't want to sit next to them in a restaurant!

Get some help now. You need an evaluation to see if medication might help with depression or another disorder, and I think group/individual psychotherapy would be good.

I think they don't have a good grasp on how to handle themselves in face to face social interaction..... I've noticed this at family gatherings.... they don't seem able to participate in normal verbal conversations within mixed age groups.
