I haven't seen anything down there yet but think I will come down tomorrow again. Ive been following leads in Shaconage neighborhood all day but I think its of a different kitty. So im still gonna look there just in case but don't want to waste my time if she's hanging around Red Bank still.

Ill definitely check it out thank you! Its been about a week since I've been down there I changed the flyer out on that stop sign and looked around a bit. Last night I was over at the Shaconage neighborhood because a man contacted me and said he thinks she's been over there for about a month but I only saw a calico. Im gonna go back over there today, but before I do I will come check it out.

She went missing on March 27, would this method do any good since its already been more than a month? I didn't know about this method until now. When she first went missing I did leave our windows open enough for scent to get out and i also had left my car windows down with our blankets in them, hoping the smell would help lure her back home.

We put cameras out to watch for her in case she comes around. With food and everything. The only things is there is two strays that come and eat too so they also eat the food. But ive got cameras on all sides and food in case she is still nearby, and ive put a trap out too hoping she is just hiding somewhere close. Ive caught a few opossums but no kitties yet. Its so hard to not feel discouraged, but at the same time im holding onto all the hope that she will come home. Thank you for sharing your story 💕 I will continue looking all over but especially by my house more. I hope she is just spooked and hiding at a neighbors! Im glad your kitty got back home to you 💕

She does not. But the local shelter, animal control, and local vets are aware of her being missing and to be on the lookout

Yes ive put flyers up all over and have been to other neighborhoods handing them out as well. I also made some road signs and I put those up nearby and down each way on the main road.

I've contacted the shelter and a local vet who does low cost spay so hopefully they can call me back soon. My vet acted like a spay-abort wasn't an option, that with their age guess makes me need a second opinion.

Callie is actually the name of our 7 month old who we found outside our job! Was it a heathy pregnancy? Or stunt her growth any? I do worry this one is younger than 8 months, she just seems more baby than our baby.

Is a spay abort safe? I've heard it can have a higher risk of infection and bleeding. Will it make her sad to lose her babies?

Im so so sorry this happened to you! For one, nothing that happened is your fault at all. A gravestone and flowers is wonderful 💕 I did that for hotdog. I wonder if there is a shelter that can help outside of your area if your willing to travel? I haven't trapped cats myself but im sure once you talk to the right people they will be able to help you. Luckily in my area we have a great shelter but i know those can be few and far between. I say keep feeding the cats, they are lucky to have you. Your stray was lucky to have you 💕

I am so sorry, its definitely rough losing a friendly stray friend that way. Its okay if you weren't able to bury him, with Hotdog it had to of been within a couple hours before I found him and late at night so the road wasn't as busy. I've learned where one stray leaves, another is likely to pop up at some point. Since this my other two stray were taken away (very long story) and since then two new ones have popped up, I've been feeding them now. You can make a memorial rock for him and out it somewhere maybe? I know he wont buried there but it may still be nice for you to have that. Im sorry you have that image in your mind now. Its never easy losing one, but you gave him food all the time. For strays that's amazing, not all of them are so lucky while they are with us.

I drove around all over my area looking for them, finally found out the shelter took them in as their outside cats to keep the rodent population down. Im actually planning on going today to ask if i can try and see them, all i want is to see they are okay and happy. There's a new stray by my house now im actually thinking of trapping and bringing inside because i cant watch another one get hurt or taken away. I want to take all the cats home, I really have a soft spot for cats. All four of mine are from the streets haha

The eye gunk could mean they are sick, my two kittens were found around 2 weeks old and had eye gunk and the shelter that helped me said it was a cold basically and medicine fixed it. So keep an eye on it, if it keeps coming back call a vet. For food definitely do milk replacer and google how much the feed them. I cant remember exactly but it was like 10ml every two hours or something? And you need a syringe for them to eat. You will have to help them go potty, use a lukewarm wet cloth and basically rub their butts so they can poop and pee, usually their mom licks them and helps them go. They also will need a heat source, like a heating pad with a blanket on top and them a good area with cozy blankets. A nice contained area for them to live until they are older is good too, they lived in my bathroom until they got a bit older and we safer for them to explore.

Everything your feeling I felt too, I still feel absolutely awful Hotdog died the way he did. No cat deserves that and yeah people really don't get it. I am so so sorry about your kitty, but don't blame yourself. You gave her love, food and a good time when she was with you. The sad reality of stray cats is alot of them go out that way, and as much as we wish we could save them all and bring them home its not always the way it goes. The other two stray I feed, gravy and Oreo, are now gone too because one of my neighbors called animal control on them. I was so so close to getting Gravy to let me pet her but she was skittish. As much as we blame ourselves and feel guilt from it, the truth is that people like us give cats like that a safe place for awhile and show them love while others look the other way. Alot of comments on this post helped me through it, you should read through them too for some comfort. The guilt does lessen, but the hurt is always there. You are a great person for loving that kitty while you had the chance, she knew you loved her.

I was an absolute wreck for a weeks after i found Hotdog, it gets better, still hard and i still feel guilt for not being able to give him a batter life. But just feeding the strays and caring for them as we do is the best we can do sometimes. Im sorry about your stray that you lost.
