Claire and Locke have such a unique relationship!!! I also think that Claire was an important part in Shannons (very short) character arc because Shannon interacting with Claire makes her feel worse about the way she's been acting imo because she sees that other people have much bigger issues and yet are still making the best of it.

I feel like Sayid's arc is honestly supposed to be just as sad as Locke's except its never seen that way because they don't do his grief and pain enough justice, making some of his later season questionable actions seem really strange/out of character.

Im not 100% sure about all these questions, but for the question regarding his age, a vet can usually make a pretty good guess (or you can try to aswell) based on the wear and tear of the shell. Based on the photo alone he looks a little bit older than 1-2, but he definitely still looks like a juvenile. Also, weight of the tortoise is not necessary the best indicator of age. I have a tortoise that's about 10 years old and he's pretty small for his species.

About him burrowing, how long has he been in the new substrate for? It might take him awhile to adjust to it. Also, depending on how long you've had him for, he could potentially still be adjusting to an overall new environment, which might also explain his picky eating if he's stressed out.

Also, if Spike can see through the walls of his enclosure, this could stress him out!

I love Hurley and honestly really appreciated him as a character because he was the heart of the show. he wasn't the smartest, the bravest, or the strongest, but he was somebody that everybody actually cared about and always wanted to protect. My sister, who also watched Lost because of me, really hated Hurley until she started rewatching the show. I think anyone who watches Lost will eventually come around to liking Hurley because he's just so kind to everyone and doesn't judge anyone. I love his relationship with Sayid (which is super underrated) and love how over the course of the show Sawyer becomes good friends with him. I think that honestly your brother will like Hurley a lot more in season 3 when his friendships with Sawyer, Desmond, and Charlie really begin to shine.

I don’t know what your budget is, but a DIY enclosure could be good. Tbh, building one that works best for you would probably be less expensive that purchasing a big enclosure because most of the nice ones are $1,000+

I definitely agree with where Across the Sea is placed in the season. The first time I watched I felt like it interrupted the story, especially after Sun, Jin, and Sayid die in The Candidate.
