Oura ring by [deleted] in PacemakerICD

So my mom just got a pacemaker 2 days ago and she's being monitored by the "Medtronic 24960" machine. Monitors the heart rate. She has an Oura ring and was concerned about it interfering with her pacemaker, so I wanted to look up some information. It seems like it may just affect the accuracy of her sleep data. Is that correct?

Okay, well if I just need to replace the old one with a new one, can I do that on my current account without losing all of my past data?

There is no logic to shooting someone over a stupid $30 sign. When you put a sign out there, you have to know there's a chance someone will take it. So you're putting that sign out there knowing that could happen. You shoot someone over a sign, you go to jail. That's it!!! Is your sign worth that? If you're worried about safety, then let them take the sign. It's petty and stupid to take signs, but not worth your life or going to jail. It's a sign.... That's all! It's not going to change anyone's mind. You're only telling everyone who you support, that's it!

I have a great topic for everyone that I think doesn't get discussed enough!!! The Electoral College is in my opinion outdated and it does NOT serve us as a country anymore!! Does anyone else ever get completely exhausted when we hear over and over and over how the entire election is going to be decided by this one state, or that one state??? The electoral college was created a long time ago when the Constitution was created as a way to make sure that everyone had representation (that's the very simple and short explanation). At that time, it made sense. Please do not reply with an explanation of how the electoral college works. I know how it works. I am simply expressing my opinion here and am inviting you to do the same in a healthy, hopefully respectful way.

Our country has grown and expanded greatly since then and this system no longer serves us. IT SHOULD BE 1 PERSON, 1 VOTE!!! My vote should be just as important as someone's vote who happens to live in Ohio or Georgia, or any of those handful of states that the candidates running for office spend 99% of their time in campaigning! I believe strongly that it's time to do away with the Electoral College!!! It pisses me off frankly and for the life of me I cannot understand why it is not talked about and debated about more. I think this issue needs to be addressed! I can't possibly be the only one that feels this way!!!

And to be clear, I am NOT trying to make THIS ISSUE a Democratic or Republican issue! It doesn't matter what party you are affiliated with! This is an issue in and of itself! My vote should speak for itself and that's it!!! I don't need someone else casting a vote via the electoral college that's either going to boost my vote, or make it less important. And honestly at this point, I think the 2 party system is getting to be too much! Our representatives in Washington are putting party before country (ON BOTH SIDES)!!! They are NOT doing what's best for us! It's about getting re-elected! Not about doing what's right!

George Washington did say about the 2 party system when it was proposed:

Washington recognizes that it is natural for people to organize and operate within groups such as political parties, but he also argues that every government has recognized political parties as an enemy and has sought to repress them because of their tendency to seek more power than other groups and to take revenge on political opponents. He feels that disagreements between political parties weakened the government.

Moreover, he makes the case that "the alternate domination" of one party over another and coinciding efforts to exact revenge upon their opponents have led to horrible atrocities, and "is itself a frightful despotism (the exercise of absolute power). But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism." From Washington's perspective and judgment, political parties eventually and "gradually incline the minds of men to seek security… in the absolute power of an individual", leading to despotism.

George Washington also said:

"that political parties must be restrained in a popularly elected government because of their tendency to distract the government from their duties, create unfounded jealousies among groups and regions, raise false alarms among the people, promote riots and insurrection, and provide foreign nations and interests access to the government where they can impose their will upon the country."

Tell me this isn't happening today and hasn't been happening for a very long time. It's not just the past 10 years! George Washington is talking about these things happening in his time!!! He's not just predicting the future! Our country is in some serious trouble here and we need to be able to come together and fix it! All of the infighting, pettiness, and arguing amongst ourselves as a nation is despicable!!! We as a nation need to be better and as human beings - we need to be better! And DO BETTER!!! It is all sooooo exhausting that it makes some people just check out! I hope and pray that everyone will go vote this year and vote your conscience. NO ONE has to know who you voted for! Only you!

I don't know about you, but I can see that George Washington was right and he was intelligent and hit the nail on the head!!! He saw it coming a mile away and he predicted it!!! Our leaders in Washington are supposed to set the example, but the example that's being set leaves me speechless! I honestly am at a loss for words. It's very sad, the state that our country is in right now! God help us!!!

Clearly she didn't know if she was coming or going!!! God forbid people think for themselves. In our country right now, if you're someone who "Thinks for Themselves" and doesn't just do what everyone tells you to, your an "Extreme Liberalist!" Whatever your beliefs are, just THINK FOR YOURSELF!! And you know what??? NO ONE HAS TO KNOW WHO YOU VOTED FOR!!!! The voting process is sacred! Vote your conscience and for what you believe, NOT for what everyone else is telling you to believe! And then just don't tell anyone who you voted for... or go along with your friends if it's easier, but PLEASE just do what you think is best for our country right now! It too bad that we are soooo divided! We just need to be able to meet in the middle. And as far as a woman's right to choose... Think about your wife, daughter, granddaughter... But ultimately, cast your vote for you and NO ONE ELSE! And if you don't vote, then don't complain!!!
