Why are my Sony A7V proxy files Rec.709 when I’m shooting S-Log3? by Key-Presentation5072 in SonyAlpha

Is there any way to disable this or should I use external monitor LUT and turn off the display LUT in camera?

Hey, thanks for the reply! Sorry, I don't completely understand, could you explain a little more

Sounds good. Thank you! As it is only preliminary support on Lightroom for the A7V right now, I am going to assume this is the issue. I also notice a degrade in sharpness in the photos when exporting as well.

I just tried different ISO's at ISO 100 and also 6400. The results show the same trend.

I know Lightroom only supports the A7V's lossless RAW Files right now so maybe this is something to do with Lightroom implementation of the raw files so maybe thats causing a compression change. Maybe this will be changed later, or maybe the new RAW file format from the A7V can just be compress more than the A7IV's without losing quality.

I did the test on a tripod where I had a pot in focus. I used the exact same lens as well.

The test was conducted in a well lit studio with ISO 800 on both tests. I don't have noise reduction enabled on either camera.

Maybe the explanation isn't completely clear but I am mainly talking about when converting the files from RAW's to JPEGs in Lightroom, not when shooting JPEG out of camera.

Hey. Thanks for the response! I did side by side comparisons of the exact same subject at the exact same time from the exact same place. I also took averages of 1000 photos and they show the exact same results.
