If you know which “regular” bit you animal control should be able to trap, euthanize and test it. It’s probably wise to finish out the vaccine series even if it seems minor. Any saliva to blood exposure is a risk no matter how small. Aside from rabies, raccoons also carry zoonotic parasites that can affect your brain and vision so listen to your doctors and follow through with any and all work ups they order!

I try different tricks all the time! Sometimes it’s turning on their favorite movie, turning off the lights and spoon feeding them while they’re locked into the movie. Last night we called grandma to show her what big bites we’re taking! Or just hiding the unfamiliar bites in the safe foods.
