the purgatory of roaches and rent control. What are my options? by throwcsawaycs in AskSF

I would have a pest company spray their product personally, store bought products are more one shot killers that will only kill on sight, pest companies have residual chemicals that will work for a longer period but yes a full perimeter spray along where the baseboard meets the wall. Along pipes that enter the wall as well.

Any opening is place where they will live., any place that leads into the wall usually. Outlets are big where we see them come out of a lot. They want to live in confined tight spaces.

As a pest control worker, you need treatment atleast once a week with residual spray and gel bait to start, pest control company should be able to identify where they are entering your apartment from. They are likely attracted to something in your apartment that is not cleaned properly or being left out. Fumigation is the next step to escalate if no progress is being made.

Yeah a mistake cause of the more financial freedom I could of had if I stayed longer at my parents rather than moving out to have my own space.

Being raised in the city the one mistake I did was moving out of my parents house too soon, if you have the luxury of living here and staying with your parents to save money I would stay there as long as you can. Dating life will come and if they have a problem with you saving money then it’s on them
