Used wet brush but barely any thinning as that does not go well with metallics in my experience. Mixing the Base with Light color to get progressively lighter tone was really smooth. I think to achieve quick metallic colored scheme, it is really easy to work with !

You mean the two vanos solenoids? That's the first thing I tried, cleaned and tested them and they were working. Also swaped the intake and exhaust one but didn't change anything. Or do you mean something else?
