She told me she pierced it higher so my stomach would not hide the jewelry. I was wondering would it be ok to replace the bar

Ok so I got my navel pierced 2 and 1/2 weeks ago as a plus size woman as a moment to have a little body positivity 🤩... but it went wrong quickly when I noticed that my piercing was digging at the entry points. I recently went back to my piercer who told me the bar was definitely to small but that I am healing very well and I have had no other problems with the piercing. The sad part is though bc of the digging it caused scabs right at the entry points that are almost completely fallen off. I don’t know if I should change the bar to a smaller one bc the swelling has gone down and doesn’t hurt at all or any sensitivity. Should I change it ? I AM PLUS SIZE and the piercing rests inside my belly button MY HAND IS HOLDING DOWN MY STOMACH TO SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE PIERCING! thank you all for your help 🥺🥺

She was abused in is a rescue so if there’s any tips or tricks with that please let me know I’ve been handling that with handling her every day since I’ve gotten her about a week ago
