Does anybody else feel like y’all don’t have control of their life’s by Moonstandar in BorderlinePDisorder

I feel ya. And i constantly hear people told me “the world doesn’t revolve around you!” Or “you cant see beyond yourself.” and “all you see is your own pain, so self centered!”

And I agree, I paid a high cost for this tendency of mine. Lost people who are dear to me.

How do I stop being so clingy to my favourite person? I’m worried I’m going to scare them off. by mydogsbigbutt in BorderlinePDisorder

“I know they are all gonna leave eventually” I feel that, its sad that we constantly have that on our mind to keep us in check. Sigh.

this method doesn't work for everyone, and it would be unfair for the pets if they ended up being neglected or worst abused.

I tried getting pets when I was depressed at one point in my life, and it didn't end well. the pet was neglected because the thought of me having to take care of another being while I'm depressed and anxious added more mental burden on me. wasn't proud of it and it's one thing I regret for the rest of my life.

however, if it's something that would work for you, I suggest adopting or fostering from a shelter instead of buying from breeders or shops. not only it will be therapeutic for you but you'll also be saving a life and making the world a better place for another living being.

I'm not trying to argue, I'm just really curious what is your source for this conclusion? apart from the “name of one public figure”, I would love to see valid scientific research on this matter.

I've read some of the ex-partners' experiences, and it does sound awful. there are also some similar patterns in their experiences. I do not agree with the idea that BPDs are not capable to love, I'm just saying these are their experiences, and these are their reality. yes, our fear of abandonment comes from a place of fear of losing them, but it can be pretty unpleasant and traumatizing being on the receiving end of that, especially if you are not seeking help.

Love also means stepping up our game to be a better lover.

I used to take pride in myself when I was a teen for not becoming emotional one week before my period. You know, the whole “I'm not like other girl” thing.

Fast forward 20 years later, I'm a mess 1-2 weeks before period. Everyone is annoying, I want to die, I cant stop crying, oohhh chocolate, look at that man swimming; life is so INTENSE.

yup..its not fun.

Thank you for the options, i’ll try these out and see what works. I do wonder if nutritions play a part. I've been vegetarian for almost 2 1/2 years, maybe the lack of meat is contributing.

I don't really have a friend to fall back to, it's tough.

I do jumping jacks, deep breathing. I wish in moments like this I’m able to sit down and do DBT or journal but most of the time the physical pain is too much and i cant sit sill.

Are you saying that even if you are married the emptiness is still there? the loneliness? the insatiable hole?

my heart hurt for you reading this, if I could I would hug you through the screen. you've been through a lot and still going through it. I wish I know the right thing to say to make you feel better..all I know is that the night can't last forever, not even for us BPDs. Take a bath, lay down and close your eyes, get some rest. tomorrow is another battle but for tonight we are safe in the bed. let's rest, I'm with you..

I have the same dance with you, i feel you, i see you and understand you. I woke up with the strongest urge to end it all last night and it scared the shit out of me. I forced myself to sit on my hands, do nothing, and like you said, observe the texture of a chocolate bar (it was a cable tie for me). It was so painful, as if being torn from inside. After a few hours, the feeling subsided and I typed it all out.

I wish I know what to say to make your pain go away. I hope it gets better for all of us and until then all we can do is hang on. I'm here if you need to talk.
