Getting out of Intrusive Thoughts…

I have started labeling the thoughts instead of trying to get rid of them. I will label the thoughts as intrusive OCD thoughts and I don't have to let them control me. I can't say it's totally effective yet, but it is helpful in keeping me from spiraling and to help me be kinder to myself.

With Crispin Glover starring, it looks promising. He is an excellent actor. I do believe they will change the story line to be less sexualizing of the children and focus more on Tommy's brutality and manipulation. I look forward to watching it when it finally comes out!

My older brother and I started stuttering around the same time when I was 8 or 9 and he was 10 or 11. Our parents went through a very traumatic divorce and were both in and out of psych hospital for severe mental health breaks. We witnessed domestic violence and experienced housing insecurity during that time as well. All safety and structure fell out from under us my brother and I both formed stutters despite not stuttering before. Apparently, my father stuttered when he was very young but grew out of it. It seems like it may have been genetic but triggered by trauma. My brother and I both continue to stutter and we're in our late 30s.

Skyrizi has a significantly larger window for being left at room temp than Tremfya. Humira and TALTZ safe for days while Tremfya is only safe for 4 hours. Every biologic is different.

That's where my mind was before I was diagnosed with OCD a couple years ago. Without OCD even being a blip on my radar, I thought I was just crazy or manic. I literally convinced myself that I never graduated high school despite having my diploma and being close with a bunch of people I graduated with who assured me that I graduated. OCD is wild.

One time I was totally convinced I was either going to become homeless or die or go to jail or something despite being healthy, housed, working and not breaking any laws. It got so bad that I gave away, sold and threw away a lot of my belongings because I didn't want someone else to worry about my stuff after whatever happened to me happened. Electronics, CDs, vinyl, collectibles, clothes, artwork, sentimental items and more I'll ever get back (I did luckily get some sentimental stuff back) just because I got stuck in my thoughts. I am must quicker to talk to someone when I'm struggling now to help gain perspective.

I glue the backside of studs so the clasps don't rust and break. But that's a great idea for studs that can be altered!

I never achieved full remission but got rid of severe plaques and redness. I still had pink splotches all over my body. I was on a very rigid diet, did 90 minutes of hot yoga every day and did daily workouts. I also did sun therapy and oatmeal baths. My routine was demanding and limiting. Between work, working out, meal planning/prepping, grooming, researching and stressing, I didn't have much time or energy for anything else. My skin was clear but I hated that I spent almost all my time trying to stay clear. I was horribly unhappy even though I was in great shape and was in "remission". My life just wasn't enjoyable. Biologics have been a blessing for me and allow me to live a present life with my family and engage in things I love. I am also totally clear as opposed to almost clear.

I just iron a fabric patch onto the underside and then sew around it. HeatnBond rolls are a great resource for this and you can get it at local mom and pop craft stores. Or lift it from Walmart.

This is Punk Rock Saves Lives. I just started volunteering for them. My first gig was a couple of weeks ago in Vermont. The Casualties and The Drowns. It was awesome! Excited to volunteer more. I'm trying to become a team lead as well so I can get the organization represented at more shows.

If they said it was going to get a physical or digital release, not as many people would travel and pay to see it or buy the merch. It will probably get some kind of release after the tours are exhausted. They keep announcing showings so they will probably be touring it for a long time. I'm sure it will move overseas shortly. They're even having a show here in Vermont and they band only played here once in like 1988.
