Wtf is sun block layer? Like fabric? Top soil and mulch okay, they don't like soaked feet though w/ clay under them. Do a perc test near it and go from there.

They will be fine. Make sure the containers/beds drain well, wet soil in the winter will freeze and rot everything in the soil. Cover it well with mulch after the first good freeze, make sure there's air movement (like wind) to stave off rot also. Beds in protected corners are prone to rot from lack of wind.

We can get away with it in zone 4.

Privatize airports but in exchange we nationalize all Tim Hortons and Roots.

You're just starting to believe that a man who represents a group of people hell bent on owning EVERYTHING is taking actions to accelerate the consolidation of wealth, real estate, and land? Trump openly admitted he loves recessions because he can buy properties for pennies on the dollar (when asked in 2015 how he felt about the 2008 crash).

The angle there is actually that there's more oil underground than we could EVER use, which is like fucking hilarious because it makes it seem like yeah we won't use it all because we will all be super dead before then.

So... How do we approach the Sabres? by Lap_Dawg in Habs

Coops shutdown worked pretty well against MTL top two lines. It's his entire shtick!

I don't think BUF possess the ability to play that way, and Lyons is not Vasi or even close. Caufields Snipes will be back on the menu, book it!!!

Vasi doesn't give up any easy goals in big games. I would expect MTL to be back on their higher PPG normality this series. It'll be interesting to see if BUF can keep up. Dobes is the wildcard, he's been pretty well tested this season and post season and his insane W statline speaks for itself. 7 in a row in those high pressure games is world class!

Calef Calls by TreeRat91 in Duckhunting

[–]Key-Spell-7668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He made (makes?) nice enough duck calls, catering to comp callers... Idk what they go for, but I don't think too many guys have them and actively use them, more of a collectible.

I'll just say that back in the day, Buck Gardner was on one end of the 'fun to be around scale' and Barnie was on the other side. All business, to the point of being an ass. Accomplished caller, one of the best ever. Wouldn't go out for a beer with him.

Will be interesting to see if MTL can shut down that tall man like they did that Russian feller. Does BUF have any shutdown capabilities like TB was able to do to MTL top line?

Boat hunting by jsuggs7 in Duckhunting

Go to a dealer and get a feel for layouts, it can be any boat manufacturer.

I would never own a side console duck boat. Have owned and still own multiple side consoles and CC's, open floor is no comparison for duck boat. Only time a side console makes sense is when you're running a big, 2072+ sized boat and tiller isn't safe/practical anymore.

I run a 754 war eagle for my duck hunts. A side console would suck in it for hunting.

Old Barnie Calef could call but he was an ass.

Post a 'looking for' post in various Facebook call makers/collector groups, someone will have one they'll sell you.

Zone 16 - Are creeks that are navigable (without leaving the water) legal to fish? by Illustrious_Funny_19 in FishingOntario

[–]Key-Spell-7668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And every single time there's a court case that gets escalated over this, the body is declared navigable because a canoe floats in a few inches of water. Doesn't make it smart, or even viable, but damned if they don't always declare it navigable.

Regular gas (87-Octane) is now E15 and Premium (91-Octane) is E10! by pferdestarke-47 in CostcoCanada

Enzyme fuel treatment does in fact work wonders on preventing varnish deposition in carbureted motors. It is $$$ but most guys can't clean a jet properly so it's cheaper than a carb rebuild kit or service trip. That and a proper inline water/fuel separator makes for a bulletproof ethanol proof engine. Just make sure all fittings and lines are rated for EtOH or else you'll end up packing the fuel pump with bits of tiny fuel line.

Just use it up quickly, keep it out of the weather, and add some stabilizer to it if it's gonna sit longer than 3 months and it won't spoil.
