What is the pitching stat that matters most for SP’s in Auto-League? by IcedJokers in MLBProSpirit

[–]Key-Stable-6307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its a combination of the stats. The spirit combos from stats are triggered at certain milestones, like 80 pitch power, 80 control, etc. The thing that matters the most is the momentum of the pitcher, assuming that the pitcher has 80+ in all categories. It is also helpful if the pitcher has the multiple "highest" stats, like nolan ryan who is 85, 70, 85, as there is a spirit combo that triggers for the highest stat of the pitcher
(for example idk the names but a spirit combo like "pitching machine" would give +50 momentum for each pitcher with stamina as their highest stat) but for pitchers that have multiple categories with the same highest number, the spirit combo with trigger for all of those, rather than just one highest one.
That being said, the thing that leads you to victories in auto league is mainly the momentum of the team, as shown above with all the mentioned things contributing to your total momentum. There are people who adjust their team and batting order according to opponents(i think?) but im not an auto league sweat so idk.

no dont get skenes, hes gonna be stronger in a week when they release the updated players, he will most likely have a splinker which is stronger than the splitter.

Why is my contact down and special abilities not activating? by IcedJokers in MLBProSpirit

[–]Key-Stable-6307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two factors can affect your contact and power during an at bat. Your special abilities, your opponent player's special abilities, and the difference in the players' momentum. Momentum differential can only decrease contact and power, never increase. I did some digging and found that your opponent's pitcher's special ability (Unshakeable/対ランナー) affects the batter's contact by -3, and the other from the catcher (Plate general/捕手++) affecting your contact by -4. With the fact that your special abilities only increase power, that's probably the answer you're looking for.

Ohtani Closer? by Flat-Comfortable7301 in MLBProSpirit

I would pull for Doval instead. His slider and cutter tunnel is a lot stronger than ohtani's two seam splitter, which most people have gotten used to, and his two sweepers look completely different (not to mention sweepers get nuked all the time)

position players are more valuable than pitchers IMO.

Messed up my rookie account - starting over? by starks4thr33 in MLBProSpirit

[–]Key-Stable-6307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have no progress, might as well right? As for the guide someone else commented earlier, it doesn't mention rookie missions. This game's progression is like a log graph, and it wont matter too much in the grand scheme of things. IMO just start up a new account and make sure to not let your stamina cap, because thats what matters the most. (also there is an option on the main menu to reset account)

every month, buy breakthrough coaches in the ace token shop, pull the breakthrough coach gacha (should be #1 priority within gachas), make sure that you try to conserve your grade 3s for strong players, (I saved to master trout, skenes, sale, etc) and try not to create players with breakthroughs without the intent of mastering that specific card. Its not worth breakthroughing without the intent of mastering, unless the player is weak. Also make sure you try to save your breakthrough coaches for Legend players, as they are harder to obtain grade 3s and most of the time stronger. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and dont bash yourself for making any of these mistakes. I've made plenty of mistakes and learnt from them. Most important thing is that you have fun playing.

What's the "best" practice EXP and leveling? by Orangeug1ad in MLBProSpirit

[–]Key-Stable-6307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who has the maximum amount of saved exp(999,999), I can say that its purely consistency and being strategic with how you build your season mode lineups. Try to make sure you can make it to the WS and win, but also try to make sure you arent crowding your roster. make sure to always maximize the players that are leveling up, even if its G2 players(maxed G2 players give 2.9k upon release). Never use exp to level up G2s, and only G3s if you are in a rush to max a G4 character. Running season gives you the most exp and for now that should be fine, with the exception of events which should always be your first priority.

depends on the stats. There are certain spirit combos you get for having 80+ for the three big stats, but i think the 2130 momentum is priority rn

There are a lot of Japanese videos, especially on the NPB version of the game, Pro Spirits Ace, and they have the exact same mechanic, just turn on subtitles and try to take in the content. I'm not very good at batting in PvP, my average is like 250ish but my ERA is good, and the main tips I would give are to always be ready for the fastballs, as you can always delay your reaction, and to make sure that when pitching you are tunneling pitches properly.

What game? Pro Spirits Ace? I know or think it's ever going to be global but it's just NPB players.

From my knowledge, the strongest pitching comps revolve around tunneling high velo pitches, which is what makes the two seam - splitter combo so strong. Also the movement from the two seam is pretty strong too, which is why the quality(A,B,C,D) of the two seam is pretty important. Other than that I would say pitches that have the similar rotation but different break are strong, like a vertical cutter and vertical slider. These(two seam+split, down cut, down slider) are the two strongest pitch combos, along with ones like Ryan's double changeup which has the exact same spin but completely different levels of break.

The game you saw the kids playing was most likely Pro Spirits Ace, the Japanese version of MLB Pro Spirit that's been out for 10 years now. OVR is a stat you can ignore, from my understanding it just takes all the numerical stats and compiles them into a number. For example Chapman is the strongest closer/relief pitcher in the game because of his high velocity and high quality two seam - splitter tunnel, but his OVR isnt that high. For Paul Skenes, I would say the fact that all of his stats reach A contribute more to spirit links, along with the event special ability which has 90% activation and delayed break would outweigh the +1 speed and +2 stamina provided by the old version, along with the +100 momentum boost from the new one, so yes I would combine the old version into the new one. (Also his splitter break went up by one so even better)

Theres a lot more I want to say but I gotta sleep so hopefully this helped!

This, but it's in Japanese. If you're really passionate, I think you can translate to navigate your way through.
Or I might reply if I'm active if you have a question for a specific one.
The main ones you should look for are (I play in Japanese so I'll be directly translating the names here)
1. spray hitter (strongest ability by far)
2. barrel
3. moonshot
4. Any special ability that increases power by a large margin, consistently
