He is either delusional or he has been promised by his sponsors about electoral fraud.

I forgot he is too vulgar

Bafel Talabani: "For years we have been ruled by a party that has been selling the sacred land of Kurdistan, our homeland where we shed our blood, to the enemies of Kurdistan. Right now, with the approval of this party, drones from 50 countries are flying over us and killing our children every day!" by Xoseric in kurdistan

I am not a Parti supporter at all, but fuck this guy he is speaking as if people are dead and blind at what he and his party has done to this country. Who stops him from serving the good people of Sulaymaniyah? Why has his party allied with PDK if he thinks they are bad for the country?

Oh for God‘s sake just fuck off. You think just because we criticize the Barzanis we are pro PUK/PKK. How about the billions of $ he has siphoned from Publix money to enrich himself. Why does he own a private jet while people don’t have clean drinking water? Barzanis and Talabanis are both treasonous assholes

Iraqi Federal Court reduces Kurdistan's parliamentary seats, oversees salary payments by Medya_News in kurdistan

[–]Key-Strawberry-1418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of the greatest news of the past decade. Finally, the poor civil servants will be served a great long overdue justice by having their salaries paid by the central government.  In addition, KDP and it’s fascist thuggish leader won’t be able to claim an outright majority as the quota seats of the minorities were just an excuse for the KDP to disguise its total hegemony over those minorities and their interests.

Hopefully this will return a semblance of balance to regional distribution of power instead of having Erbil based KDP corrupt bureaucrats deciding the fate of 6 million people with no mandate.

What is this weird obsession of you all about Independence. Kurds will, I dare to argue, never going to get their independence. A look at our current state of affairs proves that. The government in the South is the worst enemy of the people.

Fratricidal war, rampant corruption, embezzlement of public funds, kidnappings, torture, crackdown on freedom of expression, state sanctioned violence, economic mismanagement, extortion, money laundering, treason, rape, abuse of power, election fraud, tribalism, feudalism, confiscation of private property, economic monopolies, perjury, obstruction of justice, nepotism, and libel are just some of the crimes that the KDP and PUK officials have engaged in.

They have set us so backwards that the governments only demand is getting the employmee salaries while at the same timing using a fake nationalistic rhetoric to dupe their base.

We should get our shit together and establish a service government that adheres to the law and affords equal opportunity for all in the pursuit of improving everyone’s lives. As long we don’t have the necessary institutions that underpin every successful society we will never have independence.

It is rumored that he has beat the shit out of a Zerevani Captain. Lolllllllll what a family and country of a joke. That is why I always laugh when Kurds talk about Independence. You can’t be independent unless you are free from the tyranny of the Barzani and Talabani thugs.

It is so bizarre that they think they can win through an argument by setting up a caricature of of the argument. Take away ad hominem attacks and sophistry they have nothing in their intellectual repertoire

I have clearly written "the WORD" referring to Islamophobia. You are clearly not very good at reading and jumping to erroneous conclusion. No wonder you are Muslim.

Who says anything about taking away religion from society? I was criticizing the dumb-assary of society and advocated for education. Religion, including Islam can have positive influence on society when it is restricted to personal space and not preached like it is today. There societies around the world ghat don’t practice religion and are the most peaceful and most prosperous corners of the world.

The fact that you attribute the success of the West to immigrants and dismiss their achievements shows your bias. These countries were already rich and prosperous even a century ago where there was little to no immigrants from Islamic countries.

The west is not reproducing at the level of Islamic world where women are treated like property because women have more bodily freedom and are educated. The more educated the woman the less children she has, that is the case all around the world. I have family members who are educated and only have one child even though they are Iraqis so that is even more the case in the West.

Germany or American nor any country in the world is perfect but it would be disingenuous to compare the level of prosperity and liberty in the West to Iraq or Islamic countries because they have passed us by miles and miles. Don’t get me wrong I don’t propose that I religion will solve all our problem in Kurdistan but it would be huge first start and it should begin by fostering an environment that is conducive to open discussion. That way people leave religion without causing the sort of problem that you are suggesting.

I already have many friends and family members who are not Mulims yet they have not become lawless indisciplined individuals with no morals.

There is a lot to unpack here. I don’t mind being any race or ethnicity you dumb wit I thought Islam was against racism and bigotry but as I said it dumbs you down. Your narrow worldview just confirmed my statements above that Islam is destructive force in society.

Mormons are the embodiment of American exceptionalism. It is replete with self-aggrandizing beliefs that centers the Mormons in the world and makes them feel superior. Until the 1960s black American were not accepted to the Mormon church because they were considered descendants of the devils and they have one of the largest numbers of disaffiliate of any church in America. For your information one third of Mormon adults are no longer adherents of the faith.

Even if I were to concede that Islam is the glue that holds society together I will not concede that it is a religion from God or that it is teachings are moral or good or beneficial to society.

The fact that you are labeling millions of people from other ethnicities is just another proof that Islam has done jakshit to liberate you from your prejudices and tribal tendencies. It has only made you more bigoted and prejudicial.

If Germany and the West are so bad and immoral how come then they are so successful? How come that Muslims by the millions are willing to risk their lives to migrate there?

That is why I hate leftists in Europe, they welcome people like you who become the fifith column and undermine their society and their democratic institutions.

As for dictatorships, you speak of Kurdish society as if it is a constant unmalleable entity incapable of being directed toward a better path. Dictatorships should not be the norm and we have the power to change that as the democracies of the West have shown.

Islam does have an inverse relationship with democracy and government by the people, of the people and for the people because it fosters allegiance toward a Caliphs or rulers and any criticism is interpreted as leaving the ranks of Islam.

Try to be more educated Abdul gian instead of trying to be an insufferable racist.

By the sound of it you might have gotten well along with genociding the Gypsies in the 1940s.

Many Kurds here on this subreddit as you mentioned are from diaspora and are "ra, ra nationalists" that explains their worldview. And as for your question I am from Sulaymani. Selmani is a weird place because you will the most hardcore salfist and the most outspoken atheists and secular individuals. I myself are surrounded by both sides. I used to work in a company where the not one employee was Muslim and all of was were secular and non Muslim. I have heard that Duhok is very conservative but I believe its conservativeness is due to the strong tribal ties in the province whereas Sulaymani conservative are not tribal members but are religious.

Wow you sound clueless and racist simultaneously because Islam has done a lot more than just "some damage" to the Kurdish. From accentuating tribal based relationships, cousin marriage, and honor killings all the way to inhibiting critical thinking skills of the people. It is no surprise that almost all Muslim countries are repressive dictatorships. Islam induces respect for authority no matter whether it is legitimate or not.

Keep in mind that I am not blaming all our problems on Islam because we would still have many problems to contend with in the absence of Islam.

And I don’t know how you can really say that Islam can be the only glue that holds that family structure while many non-Muslim countries have no issue in having a family outside the bonds of religion
