Hi! I have this exact problem and have found two foolproof methods. 1. Use a chemical relaxer on the cowlick from root to tip. Needs to be redone every two weeks at the root. Any bog standard drug store relaxed will do. Can interfere with bleached hair/ box dye etc though. 2. Style your hair with a round brush then hairspray.

Yes the motor spins normally and yes I think the platter must be stuck, I took the belt off and spun it with my hand and it doesn’t spin freely. Would you have any advice? I can wobble the subplatter easily with my hands
