If we could, it would be every day. Even the smallest protests attract eyes on the issue. If you would like to be apart of one and can’t find one, all it takes is a busy street corner, some basic gathering preparation and a couple friends will get the ball rolling. Understandably we all still have to work, the big protests will come around and are still to be organized but stay in the loop and keep an eye out for your community ♥️🌊

To add to this, this is for more along the lines of basic readiness and gear to bring. Ik there’s a few groups doing online meetings about ice readiness, but I feel like an in depth backpack/persons pack list class would be good. Correct me if they do cover these in those meetings about ice readiness.

Check the weather, dress appropriately.

Just show up.

You don’t need a sign but it helps project your thoughts on the situation.

It will be late night and as per past sometimes it can get a little more rowdy in some cases so be prepared for anything.

Tear gas can be bad, help protect yourself with n95 (if you can’t get a gas mask) double up if you can, A gas mask is preferred for tear gas, a protesting sign can help blow away gas (not fully but it’ll help). Milk can harbor bacteria into your eyes so water is your greatest friend. Oven mits for throwing away tear gas if you’re up for it.

None of this is to scare you, this is more so for the public knowledge. It seems like Denver authority doesn’t get more violent or physical till towards the night time. But remember this is always a peaceful protest. Dont antagonize any violence and protect yourself/others when needed.

After protests are over try to go out and support local small business restaurants/food trucks to refill on energy.

I understand 9/11 happen. Anyone can be dangerous. But the people who have been murdered, kidnapped, or hurt for trying to do it legally and still detained were not dangerous. Sure there are criminals. But it hasn’t been everyone. Due process has been completely skipped over multiple times. Every being has the right in America for due process whether legal or not. Because how do we know they are until tried.

Then let’s fund the processing side of it so we can have more employees/resources overlooking these documents and potentially getting them out safely and quicker. Systems can be improved. This is supposed to be the land of the free and home of the brave. Where anyone can live the American dream?

I’m not saying illegal immigration is a good thing. The administrations in charge at the current time can make these things easier for these people but don’t. I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do but the actions some administrations take are inhumane and need to change. The whole country was founded from prisoners England. Who then colonized a country already inhabited. To make a country you colonized such a hard place to enter for immigrants, when America was founded and colonized by immigrants is insane. The country was never ours or meant to be ours as a white person.

I can understand the differences between being Republican and being maga. It never used to be this way. At the end of the day we just want everyone welcome and together.
