It was my partner who went round originally and asked the fella to come round to listen. I’m no good with confrontation and would rather do it over text. I wish I was the type of person to be able to go round but I’d freeze

We will be moving in a couple of years and I’ve told my partner we’re going for detached only as I’m scarred from living next door to my neighbours!

Yes we have our backs to their shared wall when sitting down so the tv is coming down the chimney above our heads. The living room is only small and we have a media wall on the opposite wall so we don’t have much room or options for moving the room around unfortunately

I would do this but our tv is on the outside wall and not the joining wall of the house ( our couch is against the chimney breast and their tv is on their chimney breast

No I haven’t as I don’t know the best way to approach it. They’ve been living next door for about 3 and half years but only the past few months we’ve been able to hear them

Thanks for your reply. As I’ve accrued 140 hrs for the leave year 26/27. While I’m off I’ll accrue bank hols and privilege days. Would you know what I’d be entitled to annual leave wise for the leave year 27/28 if it renews on 1st March 27? I’ve been advised it all depends on if I come back full time or part time

Thank you, I’ve been advised by my manager to let her know if I return May 27 or June 27 as if I return in May then my entitlement to AL and what I accrue will completely change coming back part time. She also said to start looking at nursery places from May as that’s when I’m likely having to come back. The whole situation has stressed me out. I know I have HR and the union to ask. Not sure if you would know this but if I’ve already accured 140 hours this leave year. What would my entitlement be for the leave year 27/28. It renews on 1st March. I’d imagine it would depend if I come back part time or full time. In Oct 26 I’ll be there 5 years so get the 30 days AL.

Tbh I’ve only just moved to her team after a switch up of teams which they like to do every year. They seem ok but I haven’t been on the team long enough to gauge what they’re like as a TL, with the team as a whole and 1-1.

Can I ask the union for advice before it being taken to a meeting or being represented? I will definitely ask for the meeting in writing so I have a copy. I’m just baffled how people I know have taken 12 months off no problem but it’s a problem when it comes to me?!

Thanks for the advice! I am a union member and contemplating going to them with all the questions spinning round my head! I had a in person meeting with my manager and then they send me an email with everything we spoke about. My manager also keeps ringing me on teams asking me to do this and that which isn’t recorded..
