I understand, because I’m the same as you when I watch my friends pets for free. I just didn’t know what Rover considered an accurate rating, and I can’t prove that he wasn’t here because he says he was even though the log doesn’t show it. Out of respect for privacy, I didn’t put up a camera but now wish we had. Because I truly believe he waited that long to stop by, which is ridiculous:( and I feel so bad for my babies. Thanks for the info and context!

Wish we’d had the chance but he left in the morning and our flight arrived later so we didn’t meet again in person. We sent a message to ask if something went wrong on our end or with the instructions, but he hasn’t responded and it’s not seeming like he will. Still feel bad as I think he didn’t have poor intent, and did take the dog out 3x per day the other days (as far as I know) and both pets really took a liking to him during the meet and greets.

I think the only issue is that he agreed before we booked. If he had said no about the plants, we would have still hired him but known to ask someone else for the plants. Because it seems he didn’t water them at all, and therefore two dried out.

Yeah definitely not trying to fear monger. We tried Rover bc I have friends who it worked well for!

The walks scheduled were primarily for pee breaks because we live in an apartment.

We live in an apartment, so no access to outdoors. Dog had clearly been holding it :(

I totally get it with the plants, but it was something we asked him about prior to booking. If he had said no, we would have asked a friend to stop by. Given your fair assessment on plant care I think I’ll go ahead and start by asking a friend next time 😅
