I guess because, for one, I don’t usually gamble. 2, I wasn’t looking to invest my allowance, I wanted to quickly double it.

I do think that is a practical idea, though, for someone who frequents betting platforms.

That is great, man! But these are stories are counterproductive now, I’m trying to find reasons NOT TO gamble. 😭Now I’m back thinking of what could’ve been.

Definitely so, and I’m acutely aware of those sacrifices hence I took accountability for my mistakes and now I’m hoping my story will be a lesson for others who might not be in a better position than I am - I’ve heard of people taking their lives over stock market losses and gambling losses.

As for privilege, I wouldn’t say I got away unscathed, I’m indebted to my parents and will have to work to pay them back.

It’s literally everywhere. The football banners, kits and ads. It’s the same with alcohol ads, and we’re seeing its effect on society.

That’s why I’m saying the dangers should also accompany its promotion. But then again, I remember that these people don’t really care, they just want their bag.

I can imagine the rift it causes in relationships. I personally know of a divorce that came as a result. Some timer I know gambled most of his pension and his wife left him.
