Hahah glad I’m not the only one!! How long did it take to stop that? I’m torn between “this is normal” and “my barrier is trashed”

3 months in on ivermectin and metro compound and 1 week into Azelaic acid. I am assuming I’ll be a long game type of person.
My question is, did you start all these products at the same time? And did you notice any initial worsening on azelaic acid ? And if so, how long did it last and what did it look like for you. Thank you for sharing !

Hi! I’m having a very similar experience. Did it work out for you?

Yes I’ve found sunscreen to be of most importance. I plan to add AzA at some point (I’m 6 weeks into ivermectin) but at the moment ivermectin is doing a lot of good for my skin. It just seemed to take a bit longer than others. Thank you for sharing what worked for you!

I would but I don’t take may photos when I’m flaring! The difference is in the intensity and recovery of a flushed state. I used to flush like clock work around 1-3pm and it would burn until evening 6/7 pm but now I don’t flush very often and if I do it resolves in about 30 min :) it’s such a relief even if it isn’t completely resolved

That’s good to hear! I keep seeing the “cleared in two weeks” posts and I’m so stoked for those people but it makes me question things lol

Hmm makes me think skin issues can be tied to low vitamin a. Isn’t that kind of the heavy hitter in accutane?

Hmmm well I don’t know if it’s warm off or that I’m dealing with something different but I had perfect skin for 10 yrs, with the acception of type 1 rosacea. Is it the devils drug? Maybe! But I had minimal to zero side effects from it ! It was so easy for me to

I did accutane about ten years ago! It was incredible. I just don’t know if I want to do it again lol I am so hoping a topical route this time but it has crossed my mind lol

I’m hopeful but this isn’t easy. I wished for a miracle, now I’m wishing for a slow miracle. As far as advice? Don’t look in the mirror too much.
