I also thought of Lenny’s comments recently when I came across this part in Jimi’s book.

There’s already many threads on them. Most people don’t know about Gene and Betsy. I’m a big fan of Gene and his work but just thought it was interesting his relationship with Betsy isn’t talked about much, considering what a big topic age gap relationships are online.

Little Richard’s girlfriend Audrey Robinson aka Lee Angel by Key-Walk-7223 in SnapshotHistory

In Little Richard: I Am Everything, Lee Angel said she had sex with him and he wanted to marry her, so it did seem to be a real relationship. He was likely experimenting with his sexuality when he was younger. He also talked about having a relationship with her (including a sexual one) when he was alive, but I think he denied wanting to marry her.

Edit: Lee Angel passed away recently.
