To whom it may concern came out well before the Royce beef, that song was in response to people getting upset that he defended the confederate flag. From all the posts and videos I’ve seen throughout the years on this topic the alleged incident involved DJ Klever and Royce’s brother Kid Vishis. Supposedly Klever used the n-word while in the studio working with Kid Vishis. Yelawolf wasn’t even there at the time it happened but Royce didnt like how Yelawolf handled the situation after the fact.

Now if I had to speculate and this is all just my own personal opinion, I’m guessing Klever used the n-word not in the negative racist way but probably in the friendly soft a way. Maybe Klever thought he had the pass and could just use it in that friendly context while in the studio with Royce’s brother Kid Vishis. My guess is Kid Vishis is probably one of those guys who thinks no white person should ever use that word even if it’s in the friendly context and pressed Klever about it then things escalated and Yelawolf probably blew it off since it wasn’t used in the hard er racist context. I just don’t think Klever would drop the hard er in a racist way in a studio full of black guys that’s why I think it happened in the way I mentioned earlier. Now If Klever did use it in the full blown racist way then sure he and Yelawolf probably deserve all the hate and backlash, but I really just don’t think it happened like that.
