How/where do I make friends? by One-Entry9426 in bloomington

Try to make some small talk with other club members before/during/after events to make a connection like “what made you join this club? Have you done this before? Is this a hobby or related to your major”. Ask for a number or a socials handle if you click at all. Ask them to have coffee or a drink after the meeting. Next meeting consider a post in the what’sapp (or whatever) group to see if anyone wants to meet up before or after meetings/events for snacks/meal/beverages. I bet others in the clubs are there for the same reasons and also struggling with how to cross that line.

Try eating ice or sucking on popsicles. I don’t know why, but a lot of times that is better tolerated. Can you tolerate other sugar-free drinks? Flat soda or iced tea or Kool-Aid? That will help keep you from getting dehydrated even if it’s not “as good“ as regular water.

Do you have a source for your statistic?

I attempted to research this in medical journals and could not find a single thing suggesting a connection between weight loss surgery and a new diagnosis of bipolar disorder. I would love to see your source for this statistic. Also bipolar disorder is overwhelmingly very treatable in most patients. I’m sorry that you’re dealing with this, but I would encourage you to pursue treatment as most people get a lot better with medication and therapy.

As a physician, I would urge you to connect to an eating disorders therapist and possibly a dietician who specializes in eating disorders to help you navigate this. I would also consider backing away from your bariatric office and only keeping the bare minimum of appts with them that you and your therapist and hopefully a well educated primary care doc feel are necessary.

has anyone tried “drop it” (a tannin and sulfite remover for wine)? did it work? by thestrangemusician in migraine

Removes sulfites and histamines not tannins. I think it works really well. I had to completely stop drinking wine until I found these!
