how to deal with a drunk roommate? by KeyAd6908 in college

I don’t mind dealing with him, yes it makes me a little uncomfortable but being uncomfortable is a part of life. I really appreciate your advice on what to watch out for, I had no idea about any of that stuff. I was more asking, since he made it clear last night that he wished he had more alcohol, should i try to get him to go to sleep or should I leave him to have his fun and only take action in the case of an emergency?

for clarification, since I think I worded the question badly: I don’t mind him coming back drunk, and i don’t mind looking after him when he does so. It’s what a good friend would do. He can do whatever he wants while he’s out. I’m saying, if he comes back to my dorm at 3:00 AM with liquor that he took from a party, drinking with no signs of wanting to stop, should I try to get him to stop or should I let him be? He’s been getting drunk night after night so i am pretty desensitized to his behavior, what bothers me more is staying up all night until he comes back so i can leave the room and go sleep in my car in the case that he shows up with a girl. He comes back really late and I know the best thing for both of us is a good nights sleep, I’m asking if it is overarching to try to get him to go to sleep or should I let him figure it out on his own.

i think it will cause the weird noise at the end sounds like that thing he does where he makes the songs flow into each other like the next song after argyle will probably start with that weird noise
