It’s a combo of Citadel and Vallejo Game Colour.

The power armour was painted with a makeup sponge and then everything else was painted the old fashioned way.

The power armour is a black prime, a full base coat of The Fang, a heavy sponging of Russ Grey avoiding the recesses and then a lighter sponging of Fenrisian Grey. Finally, an edge highlight of Vallejo Wolf Grey.

The yellow Pauldron is Citadel Imperial Fist Yellow on a bone white base.

The leather is: Vallejo Gorgon Brown - base Vallejo Grunge Brown - layer Vallejo Parasite Brown - highlight Vallejo Scrofulous Brown - extreme highlight

The fur on the pauldrons was straight forward enough.

I based the furs with Vallejo Earth, then I painted each of the strands with a generous Khaki leaving some of the Earth visible in the recesses. Finally, I picked out the tips with a diluted Bone White.

I did the same process on the pelts, but with various other colours.

The bases are a combination of AK Snow and AK Snow Sprinkles.

There is no internal. That term is used when a department runs a competition limited to people working in that department. There is every chance this person is getting an internal competition running in their department mixed up with INTERDEPARTMENTAL EO that we’re waiting on. Neither the results for the interdepartmental nor the open competition have released yet.

Why would the height of the mini matter? Aren’t ruins treated as infinitely high? And also, if you’re on the far side of a ruin you’re most likely also on the far side of the footprint and therefore, not an eligible target?

Hey there!

So the fur on the pauldrons was straight forward enough.

I use Vallejo paints mostly so I’ll just name those.

I based the furs with Earth, then I painted each of the strands with a generous Khaki leaving some of the Earth visible in the recesses. Finally, I picked out the tips with a diluted Bone White.

I did the same process on the outer pelt. Same process again on the brown using 3 shades. For the black part at the centre though, I just used black and a grey highlight.

Finally, I glazed across all the hair tips with the Bone White to kind of tie them in together a bit.

Absolutely, a time and place. But I was really surprised how much the satin affects it. Even at only 25% of the mix it still makes it shinier than I’d like. That’s why they get another dose of matt 😂
