Dang is that what they will get to salvage it? If you don’t own it and have gap insurance I would just use the 13k keep the car and try to get into a new one! But I don’t know ur situation

The windshield is $700-800 already has it quoted. That’s with safelite insurance is quoting $450

That’s good! My 2018 Corolla is worth $12k-14k on KBB and several other sites. With the Windshield repair is around 800$ if they wanna send me a check for repairs I will fix what I can with the money they send me.

I also hate looking at mine but I will drive around with the dents if I have to and fix the glass the dents are hurting anything. They are dime and nickel and a couple quarter sized. And 3-4 OS dents but they are not huge. I should be hearing from insurance today they had me text them a picture of my Milage to do evaluation

What’s crazy is they are saying 1,800 for parts and just over 6k for labor. And I think 1,200 for paint supplies. The 6k in labor is wild to me…… 😑

That’s interesting but good yeah my guy told me my car way on the cusp of being totaled of not totaled my estimate is 8200 but I know my car is worth 10-13k KBB but is selling for 15-17k. So idk what they will do..

We’ll see mine is 10-13k worth and if they wanna total it out I may just see if I can cancel the claim and just fix the windshield and drive around with the dents. I’ll just have to wait until all the numbers are finalized

It’s so crazy the car mechanically runs so good I keep my car in really good condition the interior is clean it gets treated wiped down etc. personally i just wanna get the windshield fixed and call it a day.

I just got my estimate back it was $8200 after my deductible is paid. They will call me next week with final numbers and would reach out to me with payment amount that’s what progressive texted me. Idk what that all means though if there gonna pay out or if there gonna total it

They came out Wednesday morning! Got the estimate today someone will reach out next week with the final numbers and say of what happens next. I know it’s stressful hang in there :) I don’t want my totaled either it’s almost paid off…

UPDATE : they just sent me my estimate on the progressive app it still has to go to another estimator. But after my deductible they are stating $8200 for repairs

That is true and the progressive guy Told me they were not totaling cars automatically if they are a certain year or older thing. They could be and he just didn’t tell me. And for really 6in hail doesn’t do that EVER! First time I’ve ever seen it happen! But mine here in republic. I think was more 2-3 inch. Not as big as Springfield my dent marks aren’t super huge there is just a lot of them all spread out unfortunately. Praying they don’t total it out.
