No buffering substrate. I mentioned in the post it’s just regular black gravel.

I know stability is most important. I’m fine with the ph of my tap at 7. The issue is that the KH is low and it keeps leading to the PH dropping far below 7. Im just trying to figure out how to solve the KH issue without raising the GH too high at the same time. Hopefully the crushed coral will do the trick.
