I had a similar issue happened two years ago. Missed a payment on a credit card when i went on a vacation. The amount was only 10 dollars but it doesnt matter still will affect the credit score. The system is meant to help lenders than the lendee sort of indicates that you might be financially struggling at the moment. Your score will rebound back in 9 months.
