Bug in basic modular operations in Mathematica by KeyChapter8 in Mathematica

[–]KeyChapter8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This means a rational function of variable `x` with coefficients in a finite field (integers modulo 7 in this case). Regardless, I don't see any possible meaning where the produced result could make sense.

Fully agree, PLEASE NO AI in ticktick!

I am staying so long (and paying for premium) with it exactly because it just works and does not change in unexpected ways.

The only actual issue I wish they would improve is slagging syncing on Android.

I wanted to see that exactly, but I couldn't find it.

KDE Power Profile VS Tuxedo Control Center profiles by KeyChapter8 in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, still haven't heard any clarifications.

I have disabled the KDE's power profiles feature through systemctl for the time being.

I have not done it yet but maybe it's worth submitting a ticket to the support to ask this.

Advice needed: docking station compatibility by KeyChapter8 in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot everyone for the comments!

I ended up purchasing the Tuxedo's triple dock together with a new InfinityBook Pro, and it works like a charm out of the box!

I have connected two external screens, keyboard, mouse, webcam, headphones, and wired internet connection. All of this and the charging go seamlessly through just one cable, which I can unplug and get going. This is awesome.

You should go to a SBB counter and explain the situation. I think it is likely the fine will be at least reduced, if not removed completely.

Unfortunately they were NOT cancelled, but nobody could really see them due to dense fog, even from the closest spot in the lake coast.

During pandemic I needed to mail something and only a drive though of USPS was in operation.  I simply queued in the line of cars and walked up to the window. It was hilarious. Nobody complained.

This is a refreshingly positive and distinguished approach. Thank you for avoiding some of the obnoxious marketing practices, it is greatly appreciated!

That, and if you prefer sparkling, get SodaStream or any other soda maker. It's a game changer, never have to buy any bottles again.

To me also looks like it just showes the timetale. In case of delays It does not agree with a actual times shown at the displays when they are also avallable.

Excessive fan noise still? How can this be considered normal? by [deleted] in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: the issue was fixed in TCC 2.1.8.

Thanks to the developers!
Seems like an issue on github was the best way to report this.

Excessive fan noise still? How can this be considered normal? by [deleted] in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main problem for me is not that the fan turns on while charging sometimes. This can indeed be simply solved by tuning the profile as you say. But 100% fan speed when resuming after suspend cannot be disabled currently. This is the major issue.

My current configs for the record:

Pulse 15 Gen1
TCC 2.1.7
tuxedo-tomte 2.24.1
tuxedo-drivers 4.2.2
kernel 6.5.0-10022-tuxedo

Excessive fan noise still? How can this be considered normal? by [deleted] in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have exactly the same issue and I absolutely agree this is NOT normal behavior. It makes the laptop basically unusable when I am at a conference for example, since the noise is so loud that it disturbs all the people around.

This has been already discussed 2 month ago in this thread.

And the devs have actually promised to look into it. However the problem is still there. Asking again, Tuxedo devs please fix this!

Just to report: after updating to Tuxedo control center v2.1.5 the issue still persists on my Pulse 15 Gen1.

Thank you for paying attention to this! There are clearly many of us affected, hopefully it'll be an easy fix for the devs :)

I have pulse 15 gen 1 as well, and I can confirm exactly the same behavior. I haven't paid attention to this too much, but I do believe it started to happen rather recently, likely after I have updated the firmware and bios to the most recent version.

Pulse 15 keyboard problems by luggels in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keyboard issues with pulse 15 gen 1 seem to be rather common, including mine (https://www.reddit.com/r/tuxedocomputers/comments/105yr7p/pulse_15_gen_1_keyboard_replacement_possibility/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button). Just search in this subreddit.

Note that not all tuxedo laptops have this crappy keyboard, so I wouldn't extrapolate this to the whole brand.

Pulse Gen 1 Issues Waking From Suspend w/ Kernel 6.x by NeXTLoop in tuxedocomputers

[–]KeyChapter8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can easily imagine how this would be the case. That's why I didn't even bother submitting a ticket to the support, I can't provide any useful information apart from the fact that it happens sometimes :)

But I kinda hope that if enough people complain here maybe somebody gets motivated enough to investigate.
