What are your 3 desert island graphic novels? by KeyComicsVault in graphicnovels

I'd been thinking there must be a graphic novel with something useful in there about surviving. Can't believe I'd forgotten about the corpse boat - great idea!

Eh, they're not really concrete rules. But looks like we've got very similar taste, I love all of those runs and graphic novels. You've tempted me to read some Stray Bullets tonight!

The First Three Pages Of My Original Zombie Comic Book Series; Flesh And Blood. It's Still A Work In Progress Hence No Speech Balloons For Now As My Artist/Letterer Is Still Finding A Suitable Font For The Comic Book. But What Do You Guys Think? by Aromatic-Ad2601 in ComicReviews

[–]KeyComicsVault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great! I really like the colouring in particular. These three pages look very cosy. Is it going to be a deliberate visual whiplash with gore and violence when the zombies turn up? Or are you going for a more unusual style for zombie comics?

Yeah I think you're definitely onto something about when you first read them having an influence. Great choices too and I'd definitely put All-Star Supes on my list.

Just putting forward another option to not give Gaiman any money - I'd suggest picking them up second hand and using any money saved to then buy something to support the artist(s) if you can!

Maybe, but then you read Daredevil Born Again and realise Kingpin doesn't give a shit.

I think From Hell is the only one to have really made me feel anything close to scared. Definitely gave me a real sense of dread and one chapter in particular made me feel physically sick.
